Techniques
Each chiropractor graduates with the same degree: doctorate of chiropractic (D.C.). As in medicine, chiropractors can specialize in many different areas. It is the specialization of the chiropractor and clinical experience that allow for differentiation in the field and best enable him/her to provide the highest level of care. Many chiropractors advertise that they treat 'sports injuries' without ever having any true training for such and/or experience with treating athletes at sporting events. This is not fair to patients who seek care from these doctors. On this topic, please consider that training alone does not guarantee that a doctor is proficient with the application of technique(s). Not only does Dr. Manison offer the highest level of training in the area, but he also has the most experience treating sports injuries.
Dr. Manison practices most all of the 'standard' chiropractic techniques. What distinguishes Dr. Manison from other chiropractors is that he is also certified in many of the most specialized and advanced techniques in the field today.

Dr. Manison utilizes the MR4 Super-Pulsed Laser. Cold laser is a great treatment adjunct. LASER, or Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, uses a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the body and has significant physiological effects (such as activating ATP). Laser is used to treat muscles, tendons, fascia, connective tissue, nerves, bones, and joints. It helps with both pain reduction/management and tissue healing and the application is very safe. Cold laser is a very new and sophisticated modality. |
