A Certified Health Coach helps you obtain your goals of body composition change and lifestyle modification.  When changes are part of a lifestyle change vs. just a fad diet or inconsistent exercise program, they last.  The key to life-long health is to have a sensible eating program and be active.  This is what a Certified Health Coach is trained to assist you with.

hiropractors tend to be more holistic in their focus of the body but too few have specialized training in the specifics of body composition change and exercise.  This is why continuing education is so important for doctors.

Dr. Manison has a high level of training in many areas of health that extend far beyond the education he received during his chiropractic education.  From working hard to become a Diplomate Sports Physician, Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and more, Dr. Manison continues his education to offer his patients the best quality holistic care.  After all, our bodies are very complex and require a more robust assessment to help determine not only how to treat a pain condition, but also to figure out what causes the particular issue(s) so that it/they can be addressed and fixed so as to not continue to undermine the patient’s health.

Dr. Manison pursued the certification of Health Coach from the American Council of Exercise because he wanted the best validated education in this arena.  Many people call themselves “health coaches” or “wellness coaches”, or even “life coaches”, but most all do not have any formal training that validates these claims.  This could be dangerous to the people they advise, and it is also not ethical.  Of course, being a Doctor of Chiropractic confers the ability to work with all facets of one’s health, but when working in specific areas that are not central tenets of the chiropractic education, adding the additional training is important.

Dr. Manison combines his years of knowledge and study in nutrition and sports medicine to help design functional nutritional plans for patients looking to get healthier.  He uses the FDA-approved InBody 570 as an objective assessment tool to know where to start.  Without such a device, there is no valid way to know how many calories a person should be eating or how much protein needs to be consumed.  Dr. Manison uses the InBody periodically to assess progress and make necessary changes.  The InBody testing validates the positive changes.

A Certified Health Coach helps put the pieces of fitness and nutrition together to help the individual optimize results.  You can feel comfortable that Dr. Manison has the proper training to help you achieve your goals.
